Atrial septal defects represent a communication between the left and right atria (a hole between the upper chambers of the heart). Simple atrial septal defects were among the first congenital cardiac anomalies to be corrected by surgical treatment. We will consider three major types of atrial septal defects: secundum, primum, and sinus venosus.

Secundum atrial septal defect is by far the most common, representing 80% of all ASD’s. Our institutions have adapted. Successfully performed a surgery on a 2-day-old baby. There had been more than thousands of such case where the children have undergone this surgery and are living a normal and healthy life.

• 3 nights stay in the post-surgical Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

• Routine laboratory tests necessary for the procedure as ordered by the attending Cardiologist.

Treatment Package Excludes

• Charges for inpatient stays in excess of 10 Nights or stays past the day that the Physician has approved discharge. Stay over this limit indicate a complicated case or a voluntary stay and all additional charges for these days will be added to the package price at a special discount of 15% to normal hospital rates. 

• Cardiac Catheterisation fees and related costs including physician fees.

• Echocardiography and Stress Testing.

• Items of a personal nature such as in-room soft drinks, telephone charges and guest meals will be charged at the normal rates in effect.

• Take-home medications.

• Permanent Pacemakers.

• Endocrinologist fee for Diabetic patient.

Other Services include: 

• Single AC rooms with attached bath, TV, Telephone and with the facility of one Attendant’s stay.

• Blood arrangement for surgery.

• Embassies contact, if required.

• Meals/ Laundry for attendant will be provided by the Hospital Acceptance of International Credit Cards/Foreign Currency.

Special Care Package Includes

• 01 night Pre and 7 nights post Hospitalisation stay on CP basis (room + breakfast basis) at Hotel, close to the treating institution (depending upon the kind of treatment)

• Return Airport transfer using Air Conditioned medium car.

• Any expenses of personal nature or any other item not mentioned in the clause “Special Care Package Includes”

• Any contingency expenses or any other item not mentioned above in the clause “ Treatment Package Includes”

Add-On Charges:

1. If one or more stents are required, the charges will be added to the package at prevailing rates.

2. Room upgrades are charged at the difference of the room rates.

Note: *Treating institution shall be solely responsible for the treatment and related/unrelated medical issues. Kuoni or DivaCARE or Tour Club Care shall not be responsible for the same.
