Incisional hernia

Incisional Hernias may occur in the area of any prior surgical incision, and can vary in size from very small, to very large and complex. They develop as the result of disruption along or adjacent to the area of abdominal wall suturing, often subsequent TENSION placed on the tissue or other inhibition to adequate healing (infection, poor nutrition, obesity, or metabolic diseases). Virtually any prior abdominal operation can subsequently develop an Incisional Hernia at the scar area, including those from large abdominal procedures (intestinal surgery, vascular surgery), to small incisions (Appendectomy, or Laparoscopy). These hernias can occur at any incision, but tend to occur more commonly along a straight line from the breastbone straight down to the pubis, and are more complex in these regions.

Treatment Package Includes

Duration of Stay - 02 nights

• All consumable used in the Operation Theatre. 

• Routine Medications used in the OT and during period of package. 

• Surgeon and Anaesthetic charges. 

• Routine Laboratory investigation charges. 

• Blood 

• Arrangement for Surgery. 
  
  

Treatment Package Excludes

• Charges for inpatient stays in excess of 02 Nights. 

• Charges for intensive care, if necessary.

• Outpatient fees and expenses incurred before admission.

• Items of a personal nature such as in-room soft drinks, telephone charges and guest meals.

• Take-home medications and supplies

• Any contingency expenses or any other item not mentioned above in the clause “ Treatment Package Includes”

Other Services include: 

• Single AC rooms with attached bath, TV, Telephone and with the facility of one Attendant’s stay.

• Meals/ Laundry for attendant will be provided by the Hospital

Special Care Package Includes

• 01 Pre and 01 nights post Hospitalisation stay on CP (room + breakfast) basis at Hotel, close to the treating institution (depending upon the kind of treatment)

• Return Airport transfer & Hotel to Hospital transfer using Air Conditioned medium car.

Special Care Package Excludes

• Any expenses of personal nature or any other item not mentioned in the clause “Special Care Package Includes”

Add-On Charges:

1. If one or more stents are required, the charges will be added to the package at prevailing rates.

2. Room upgrades are charged at the difference of the room rates.

Note: *Treating institution shall be solely responsible for the treatment and related/unrelated medical issues. Kuoni or DivaCARE or Tour Club Care shall not be responsible for the same.
