Diagnostic Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is used for the diagnosis or treatment of an illness or injury. A colonoscopy, by definition, must examine the colon proximal to the splenic flexure. It includes the visual examination of the lining of the entire colon, from the rectum to the caecum, and may include the examination of the terminal ileum. Colonoscopy is usually performed with a fiberoptic colonoscope that transmits the image through optical fibres to a lens, or with a flexible video colonoscope that has a camera on the end. The colonoscope is inserted via the anus or stoma, then advanced under direct vision. A rigid sigmoidoscope may be used for an intraoperative Tran colotomy approach. A screening colonoscopy is defined as one performed in the absence of signs or symptoms of disease. A diagnostic colonoscopy is defined as one performed to evaluate signs or symptoms of disease. 

Treatment Package Includes

Duration of Stay - 01 nights

• All consumable used in the Operation Theatre. 

• Routine Medications used in the OT and during period of package. 

• Surgeon and Anaesthetic charges. 

• Routine Laboratory investigation charges. 

• Blood

Treatment Package Excludes

• Stay charges in excess of package.

• Items of a personal nature such as in-room soft drinks, telephone charges and guest meals. 

• Take-home medications and supplies

• Any contingency expenses or any other item not mentioned above in the clause “ Treatment Package Includes”

Other Services include: 

• Single AC rooms with attached bath, TV, Telephone and with the facility of one Attendant’s stay.

• Meals/ Laundry for attendant will be provided by the Hospital

Special Care Package Includes

• 01 night stay on CP (room + breakfast) basis at Hotel, close to the treating institution (depending upon the kind of treatment)

• Return Airport transfer & Hotel to Hospital transfer using Air Conditioned medium car.

Special Care Package Excludes

• Any expenses of personal nature or any other item not mentioned in the clause “Special Care Package Includes”

Add-On Charges:

1. If one or more stents are required, the charges will be added to the package at prevailing rates.

2. Room upgrades are charged at the difference of the room rates.

Note: *Treating institution shall be solely responsible for the treatment and related/unrelated medical issues. Kuoni or DivaCARE or Tour Club Care shall not be responsible for the same.
